As a general comment, I have noticed that only the tasks under 2, 6 and 10 are related to the topic "FOOD".

True, true.
But!
"The context of the unit is food, so try to use items that reflect that theme."
I tried and decided it will be better this way. It didn't say we MUST.

You are right Smile
Than I would only like to say that you might change the examples in the exercise which test recognition of the initial sounds since it was said that we have to write words that start with p and d (not b).
Everything else is great in my opinion!

Hi, Sanja!

Here are some of my comments (please, consider them suggestions, rather than instructions):

- although you are right to say that the instructions for the assignment didn't state "must", I think most of the items you developed could be connected to food if you decide to use your imagination just for a bit Smile
- e.g. in item 1, you could say "When I _______ in Russia, I used to eat soup called shchi all the time."
- in item 9, you could adjust the text to be about the Masterchef reality show
etc. etc.

- item 2: a general tip is to avoid "double ideas", i.e. in b), there are two statements: (1) bacon is preserved using salt and (2) bacon is preserved using smoke (the same applies to c))
- a S might know that the salt part is true, but not be aware that smoke can be used as well

- item 4: it's not an open-ended task
- reminder: open-ended tasks require the Ss to answer in their own words --> if you ask them to rephrase, you've limited the answer
- try to think of a task which would require the Ss to use conditionals --> perhaps give some context first
- in that case, you can test both form and usage

- item 8: since the instructions state "Match the definitions with phrasal verbs", it would be better if the column on the left indeed contained the definitions, and the one on the right phrasal verbs Smile

- item 9: in addition to what I've suggested already, I'd also like to propose that you develop a set of acceptable answers for each of the gaps, which would make scoring more effective

Hope some of these comments will be useful for you! Smile
